For nearly 60 years, Muela from Spain is one of the leading European manufacturers of classic hunting knives. Since the beginnings in the first small workshop, Muela has turned into a high-tech manufacturer with an annual production of approximately 350.000 knives. But despite the modern computer-assisted production, handwork is still a top priority at Muela today. Especially the complex processing of staghorn, one of Muela's specialties cannot be carried out automatically. It requires the long-term experience of experts who prepare and assemble knife handles and scales manually. The company also put great emphasis on the use of high-quality domestic and exotic wood as handle materials. All individual operations of the manufacturing process are carried out by Muela, even the production of the high-grade leather sheaths. Unless otherwise stated, the satin finished blade is made of Spanish MOVA, a molybdenum vanadium steel with a Rockwell hardness of 57-61 HRC.
