Since starting the manufacturing of high quality knives in 1869, our trademark has earned a strong position in the world market. Unfortunately, more and more counterfeits, mainly produced in Asia, are sold for unbelievably low prices on the internet. The materials used for these counterfeits are just as poor as the manufacturing itself. Apart from copies of actual Boker designs, even knives that have never been part of our product line are being sold with our logo. Due to the low product quality, it is very dangerous to use these knives as product defects may lead to serious injuries. Usually, the manufacturer is unknown, so it's next to impossible to solicit any action.
How can you protect yourself against such fakes?
Looking at the examples on this page, you'll see that it's quite hard to distinguish between original and counterfeit at first sight. If possible, buy your knives only from reputable dealers. Take the knife into your own hands for inspection. Poor craftmanship and low quality materials are usually revealed immediately.
