The extremely sturdy Cold Steel Bushman is a versatile survival knife with a practical hollow handle. The SK-5 carbon steel blade is ground to a thin edge, and then honed and buffed by hand until razor sharp. A carbon steel blade is still the material of choice for many outdoor enthusiasts when it comes to practical use. The easy sharpening compared with chrome steels, even with comparable edge retention, is a huge advantage for many users. The dark coating on the blade provides excellent corrosion protection. The hollow handle will accept survival supplies or a variety of handle extensions, which can maximize reach, leverage or ease of throwing. Unlike the majority of hollow handled knives, there is no joint or seam between the blade and handle, instead the Bushman’s blade and handles are cold forged out of a single piece of SK-5 carbon steel. The knife is then expertly heat-treated and tempered to 54 HRC. With fitted synthetic sheath and practical Ferrocerium Fire Steel that can be used on the back of the blade.

Warning and safety information:
Cut injuries: The most common danger when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can quickly penetrate skin and tissue.
Slipping of the knife: Improper or excessive pressure can cause the knife to slip, resulting in uncontrolled movements that can cause injuries.
Injuries due to falls: Knives should never be left unsecured or near table edges to prevent them from falling and injuring someone.
Blunt knives: Blunt knives pose a greater risk of injury as they require more force and can slip more easily. Knives should therefore be properly sharpened regularly.
Improper use: Using a knife for tasks for which it is not intended (e.g. as a lever tool) can not only damage the blade, but also lead to accidents.
