The German Navy consists of 16,000 soldiers and more than 55 ships and today serves primarily for international conflict prevention and crisis management. It supports other armed forces from the sea and can thus be used as a basis for military operations. Besides heavily armoured frigates and submarines, tall ships have always played an important role in the navy. The famous Gorch Fock still serves today as a sailing training ship and since it completion in 1958 has covered more than 750,000 nautical miles in over 60 territories on all continents.

The official Pocket Knife of the German Navy is therefore designed for good reasons as a real sailor's knife and equipped with a lockable marlin spike and a lanyard hole. The 420C blade opens via nail nick.

Warning and safety information:
Cut injuries: The most common danger when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can quickly penetrate skin and tissue.
Slipping of the knife: Improper or excessive pressure can cause the knife to slip, resulting in uncontrolled movements that can cause injuries.
Injuries due to falls: Knives should never be left unsecured or near table edges to prevent them from falling and injuring someone.
Blunt knives: Blunt knives pose a greater risk of injury as they require more force and can slip more easily. Knives should therefore be properly sharpened regularly.
Improper use: Using a knife for tasks for which it is not intended (e.g. as a lever tool) can not only damage the blade, but also lead to accidents.
