The Boker Plus The Dace is agile, fast, and adaptable. Designer and passionate angler, Joe Mangiafico, who was previously responsible for the Canoe and The Brook models, has once again hooked up a special specimen. Inspired by the peaceful fish of the same name (hazel), the US knife maker transferred its characteristic silhouette to the nimble pocket knife.

The Dace defines its habitat as predominantly hard-bottomed EDC waters with a rich food supply of cardboard, rope, or packaging, with an occasional tendency to the finesse on fish and meat. The ball-bearing drop-point blade made from the edge-retention and corrosion-resistant Nitro-V develops the right bite when the flipper is activated, while the liner-lock is discreetly housed in the flattened handle made from grey 6061-T6 aluminium.

Iridescent blue anodised elements such as the tip-up clip (r), the flat blade pivot screw, and the handle screws give the pocket knife a special touch. The harsh stonewash finish and the blade back with non-slip jimpings and decorative ricasso round off the look and performance.

Product Highlights:

  • Ball-bearing drop-point blade made from Nitro-V steel, offering excellent edge retention and corrosion resistance.
  • Flipper mechanism for smooth, fast opening.
  • Liner-lock mechanism for secure blade locking.
  • Grey 6061-T6 aluminium handle with ergonomic design for a comfortable grip.
  • Iridescent blue anodised elements: tip-up clip (r), pivot screw, and handle screws for a special touch.
  • Stonewash finish on the blade, with non-slip jimping for enhanced control.
  • Decorative ricasso adds to the knife’s aesthetic appeal.

Who is the Boker Plus The Dace for?

  • EDC Enthusiasts who seek a compact and agile knife with high performance and a unique design.
  • Anglers or outdoor enthusiasts who need a nimble, lightweight knife for both everyday tasks and delicate fishing-related tasks.
  • Collectors who appreciate high-quality craftsmanship and distinctive design elements in their knives.
  • Outdoor adventurers who require a corrosion-resistant blade for camping, hiking, and other outdoor activities.
  • Fishing enthusiasts who need a precise, versatile tool for cleaning fish or general utility tasks in the outdoors.

Perfect for the following uses:

  • Everyday Carry (EDC): Ideal for cutting cardboard, rope, packaging, and other everyday utility tasks.
  • Fishing: Perfect for cleaning fish, filleting, or other fishing-related activities.
  • Camping and Outdoor Use: Useful for tasks like cutting ropes, preparing food, or slicing during outdoor trips.
  • Utility Work: Works well for both delicate cutting (such as slicing food) and tougher tasks (like cutting tough packaging).
  • Outdoor Adventures: Whether you’re camping, hiking, or spending time in nature, The Dace is a reliable tool for various cutting needs.

Warning and safety information:
Cut injuries: The most common danger when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can quickly penetrate skin and tissue.
Slipping of the knife: Improper or excessive pressure can cause the knife to slip, resulting in uncontrolled movements that can cause injuries.
Injuries due to falls: Knives should never be left unsecured or near table edges to prevent them from falling and injuring someone.
Blunt knives: Blunt knives pose a greater risk of injury as they require more force and can slip more easily. Knives should therefore be properly sharpened regularly.
Improper use: Using a knife for tasks for which it is not intended (e.g. as a lever tool) can not only damage the blade, but also lead to accidents.
