Warning and safety information:
Cut injuries: The most common danger when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can quickly penetrate skin and tissue.
Slipping of the knife: Improper or excessive pressure can cause the knife to slip, resulting in uncontrolled movements that can cause injuries.
Injuries due to falls: Knives should never be left unsecured or near table edges to prevent them from falling and injuring someone.
Blunt knives: Blunt knives pose a greater risk of injury as they require more force and can slip more easily. Knives should therefore be properly sharpened regularly.
Improper use: Using a knife for tasks for which it is not intended (e.g. as a lever tool) can not only damage the blade, but also lead to accidents.

Svörd
In 1983, New Zealand master knifemaker Bryan Baker turned his hobby into a profession out of necessity and founded Svörd Knives, a company for all knife enthusiasts who value high quality and functional design. Due to small production runs, the knives were initially expensive, whereupon the founder continued to deepen his expertise in materials science and marketing in order to establish his brand piece by piece. High-quality steel grades as well as unique processing methods give Svörd Knives their special strength and durability, which did not go unnoticed by other markets such as the USA or neighboring Australia for long. Today, Svörd knives are sold worldwide, making Bryan Baker's former vision a reality: Practical knives 100% handmade in New Zealand, available for an affordable price, finely tuned with a refreshing touch of idyllic distance.
