Dave Wenger wuchs mit einer Faszination für mittelalterliche Waffen und Rüstungen auf. Eines Tages beschloss der Junge, sich an der Herstellung eigener Waffen zu versuchen. Er flachte Metallrohre ab, die sein Vater herumliegen hatte, schnitt mit einer Bügelsäge eine Spitze darauf und benutzte ein paar Rollen Klebeband für den Griff - und schon war es ein feudales japanisches Samuraischwert. Sein Großvater arbeitete als Schmied und ermöglichte dadurch die Annäherung des jugendlichen Dave Wenger an das professionelle Messermachen. 18 Jahre später, im Juni 2012, machte Dave Wenger ernst und erwarb das Journeyman Smith Rating bei der American Bladesmith Society, ABS. Im Januar 2013 wurde Wenger Blades gegründet.

Boker Plus knives are innovative in terms of function and design, as well as guaranteed for everyday use. Conception, design and construction are carried out in Solingen, and production takes place in Europe, the USA and Asia.
