Legends are not born—they are forged by time, until their moment comes to shape history. They don’t live a myth; they create it and leave behind a revered legacy.
In 1966, in Detroit, Michigan, the foundation for another icon was laid. At the heart of the American automotive industry, countless vehicles came to life. Many were ordinary, but some were extraordinary. The Chevrolet Camaro was originally conceived as a “Pony Car,” aimed primarily at younger buyers. Compact, sporty, and affordable—the coupe was the powerhouse for the rebellious youth.
Success came quickly: From 1966 to 1969, approximately 700,000 Camaros rolled off the production line with twelve different engine variants. In 1969, the Z28—the last Camaro of the first generation—was introduced. Among enthusiasts, this model is considered one of the finest of all generations. A robust V8 Small-Block engine producing 216 kW (294 hp), paired with a Special Performance package, propels the Camaro Z28 into the elite ranks of muscle cars—complete with sporty stripes. The motorsport DNA of this now coveted collector’s item is unmistakable: the engine is a detuned version of the highly decorated Penske Camaro from the SCAA Trans-Am racing series.
Boker draws inspiration from the Camaro Z28, bringing the legend back to life. What emerged is more than just a knife—it’s a lifestyle: the perfect road trip to the sound of a rumbling V8 on an endless highway, gentle sunlight brushing across the canyon, warming the soul. Unforgettable moments, free from everyday life—just like the extraordinary Boker 1969 Z28-Damast Shadow, limited to 300 pieces worldwide.
In collaboration with Italian designer Tommaso Rumici, a unique “Muscle Knife” was created, capturing the Camaro Z28’s distinctive characteristics in form and strength. The ball-bearing drop-point blade, made from 80-layer Damascus steel with a refined PVD finish, was hand-forged by Chad Nichols in the “Tread” pattern, reminiscent of the Camaro’s sloped cowl induction hood. Components from the Camaro’s upper control arm were incorporated into the blade, which opens smoothly with the blue thumb stud, while the aggressive stainless steel liner lock ensures secure blade retention.
The black hard-anodized aluminum handle interprets the car’s body lines in a progressive design and features striking details: the notchback, small rear spoiler, and gill-like rear fender vents are elegantly integrated into the collector’s knife. The pivot screw echoes the wheels often seen on muscle cars, while the straight, milled stainless steel clip recalls chrome door handles.
The knife is delivered in a premium display case, including the torque and thrill of a V8 ride in the wind. Handcrafted in the Boker Solingen manufactory.

Warning and safety information:
Cut injuries: The most common danger when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can quickly penetrate skin and tissue.
Slipping of the knife: Improper or excessive pressure can cause the knife to slip, resulting in uncontrolled movements that can cause injuries.
Injuries due to falls: Knives should never be left unsecured or near table edges to prevent them from falling and injuring someone.
Blunt knives: Blunt knives pose a greater risk of injury as they require more force and can slip more easily. Knives should therefore be properly sharpened regularly.
Improper use: Using a knife for tasks for which it is not intended (e.g. as a lever tool) can not only damage the blade, but also lead to accidents.
