150 years of Boker Knives - Definitely a good reason to celebrate! And of course, we want our customers take part in that celebration. For that reason, we are presenting an anniversary series with extraordinary models. The Damascus blades of these exquisite knives are each a piece of living Boker history. In the early days of Boker, of course there wasn't any electricity, and most machines in the factory were driven by steam. The energy was transferred by large transmission belts through the whole facility, to give power to the various machines. One of those huge transmission wheels still sits on the lawn in front of our manufactory in Solingen, as a reminder of the old times. We took a piece of the drive shaft of this wheel, and used it to forge the Anniversary Damascus for the blades of the Anniversary Damascus models, thus giving every owner the opportunity to hold a genuine piece of Boker history in their hands. This unique way of creating a one-of-a-kind blade material, as well as the huge efforts that were made, is meant as a sign of our appreciation for all our customers, and for their steady support and loyalty for Boker, and for Boker knives.

Each knife in the Anniversary Damascus series is equipped with a handle scale of a material which is almost as historic as the blade - the Boker logo dates back to the huge chestnut tree that graced the yard of our first facility, and though it had been destroyed by a thunderstorm in the early 20th century, the choice of local smoked chestnut wood for the handle scales still keeps the origin of our logo alive in every single knife in the series. Each knife is handmade in our Boker Manufactory in Solingen, and delivered with a certificate of authenticity, and in an anniversary frame display for an attractive presentation. Each model is individually numbered and strictly limited to 150 pieces worldwide.

The classic Barlow, with the blade made out of the unique steam engine Damascus and handle scales crafted of smoked chestnut wood.

Warning and safety information:
Cut injuries: The most common danger when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can quickly penetrate skin and tissue.
Slipping of the knife: Improper or excessive pressure can cause the knife to slip, resulting in uncontrolled movements that can cause injuries.
Injuries due to falls: Knives should never be left unsecured or near table edges to prevent them from falling and injuring someone.
Blunt knives: Blunt knives pose a greater risk of injury as they require more force and can slip more easily. Knives should therefore be properly sharpened regularly.
Improper use: Using a knife for tasks for which it is not intended (e.g. as a lever tool) can not only damage the blade, but also lead to accidents.
