The ultimate outdoor guide with tried-and-tested practical tips and building instructions for all nature lovers, forest rats, fans of the Naturensöhne and those who want to become one. Outdoors at home is the motto of Andreas Schulze and Gerrit Rösel also known as “die Naturensöhne”. On their popular YouTube channel, the two friends show what is possible in the forest and nature in regular videos. What is their passion called? Bushcrafting, an outdoor trend that involves organising yourself as well as possible in the wilderness using simple means. Fancy making a fire, spending the night in the open air or building huts between bush and bark? Then the Berliners' outdoor handbook is just the thing, because preparation is half the battle. The book contains everything you need to know about good equipment and which apps are really helpful outdoors. It also provides the most important information about what is and isn't allowed in the forest. The Naturensöhne provide expert insights into the adventure of nature in numerous practical experiences as well as tours ranging from “A quick breath of fresh air” to the first day challenges and well-planned overnight adventures. As an extra for bushcraft professionals, there are instructions for long-term projects such as clay ovens, raised beds, cooking areas, etc. Survival tricks and outdoor hacks: how do I find my way in a dead spot? How do I treat wounds? What do I do if my fire gets bigger than I thought? How do I behave when I have an uncomfortable visit from e raccoon, wild boar & co? More than an ordinary outdoor guidebook: in addition to over 80 hacks and tricks, Andy and Gerrit reveal their biggest failures and what you can learn from them. Warning and safety information:
Cut injuries: The most common danger when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can quickly penetrate skin and tissue.
Slipping of the knife: Improper or excessive pressure can cause the knife to slip, resulting in uncontrolled movements that can cause injuries.
Injuries due to falls: Knives should never be left unsecured or near table edges to prevent them from falling and injuring someone.
Blunt knives: Blunt knives pose a greater risk of injury as they require more force and can slip more easily. Knives should therefore be properly sharpened regularly.
Improper use: Using a knife for tasks for which it is not intended (e.g. as a lever tool) can not only damage the blade, but also lead to accidents.
