Consequently, the Blackout does not just have an axe edge with a long beard. The opposite hammer head makes the tool much more versatile. The cutouts in the tang fit hex screws and nuts and can be used to break lock cylinders. And the butt end of the handle, a crowbar is positioned on the lateral, which creates above average leverage.
The entire Hawk is made from 1075 carbon steel, made more durable and corrosion-resistant by its black powder coating. The included Kydex sheath can be used to secure the edge, so you can use the other tools safely. The handle scales consist of black Micarta. The ultimate emergency tool when push comes to shove.
Warning and safety information:
Cut injuries: The most common danger when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can quickly penetrate skin and tissue.
Slipping of the knife: Improper or excessive pressure can cause the knife to slip, resulting in uncontrolled movements that can cause injuries.
Injuries due to falls: Knives should never be left unsecured or near table edges to prevent them from falling and injuring someone.
Blunt knives: Blunt knives pose a greater risk of injury as they require more force and can slip more easily. Knives should therefore be properly sharpened regularly.
Improper use: Using a knife for tasks for which it is not intended (e.g. as a lever tool) can not only damage the blade, but also lead to accidents.
Tony Lennartz has been an icon in outdoor, survival and bushcraft for decades. His wide range of experience is based on his years of professional activity as a soldier and policeman, as well as on his lifelong passion for life in the wilderness. During many longer stays in the USA and Canada a close connection with the culture of the Native Americans developed, whose techniques and methods he could learn there. The training courses of Tony Lennartz, which take place on a large area in the Eifel, have taught thousands of participants the foundations of survival in the wild for many years. Like no other, Tony Lennartz bundles the wilderness experience from decades and develops his strategies and techniques permanently. Thus his knife designs are the essence of his knowledge and a clear commitment to his philosophy of uncompromising functionality.
