Austin McGlaun from Georgia designed the CRKT Du Hoc in honor of his deceased uncle, who fought in World War II on the notorious coastal cliffs during the Allied invasion of Normandy and was awarded the Silver Star for exceptional courage. With the help of Ryan Johnson of RMJ Tactical, the fully functional, robust Karambit was perfected from the point of its curved blade to the ring on the handle butt. The coated blade is made from high-quality SK5 carbon steel, has a double-sided honed point and offers exceptional stability. The higher manganese content brings exceptional hardness and great edge retention. The sturdy G10 handle scales have a fine texture and offer a secure grip even in bad weather. The close-fitting GRP sheath can be attached to a belt or to the gear with the included adapter.

Warning and safety information:
Cut injuries: The most common danger when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can quickly penetrate skin and tissue.
Slipping of the knife: Improper or excessive pressure can cause the knife to slip, resulting in uncontrolled movements that can cause injuries.
Injuries due to falls: Knives should never be left unsecured or near table edges to prevent them from falling and injuring someone.
Blunt knives: Blunt knives pose a greater risk of injury as they require more force and can slip more easily. Knives should therefore be properly sharpened regularly.
Improper use: Using a knife for tasks for which it is not intended (e.g. as a lever tool) can not only damage the blade, but also lead to accidents.
