This massive, heavy axe is no ordinary working tool. It was not designed to split firewood. This entry tool can save lives. Its considerable 768 g weight can be easily accelerated, and, thanks to the compact nature of the axe, offers excellent control too. These so-called crash axes are used as an access tool by the police, military, emergency services and pilots, to clear their way into or out of a crashed aircraft or vehicle. The angled stem of 4130 chrome-moly steel means that chopping with the IDT is very efficient and conserves effort. The impact is absorbed by the soft Eezer grip and does not transfer to the wrist. The hand strap is attached in a strategic location, supporting the wrist. The IDT Axe is supplied with a functional Cordura sheath with Kydex inserts. The holster can be closed with two quick release buckles. It can be attached to a backpack, vest, belt, etc.

Warning and safety information:
Cut injuries: The most common danger when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can quickly penetrate skin and tissue.
Slipping of the knife: Improper or excessive pressure can cause the knife to slip, resulting in uncontrolled movements that can cause injuries.
Injuries due to falls: Knives should never be left unsecured or near table edges to prevent them from falling and injuring someone.
Blunt knives: Blunt knives pose a greater risk of injury as they require more force and can slip more easily. Knives should therefore be properly sharpened regularly.
Improper use: Using a knife for tasks for which it is not intended (e.g. as a lever tool) can not only damage the blade, but also lead to accidents.

One Life - One Knife – this is the credo of the famous knife company TOPS from Idaho, in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Their knives are tools, designed and built using the extensive knowledge and real life experiences of many Operators with backgrounds in Military, Law Enforcement, outdoor professions, and Martial Arts. Each model is going to be field tested for six month, before it becomes part of the TOPS line up.

All knives are 1095 High Carbon steel with a special Traction Coating, to prevent the blade from corroding even after a seven day being in salt fog. Because of their strength and reliability many different armed forces appreciate TOPS knives for their missions. Every model is made in the US.
