Designed in 1943, the M3 Trench Knife was intended to be used by any U.S. Soldier during World War II who was not equipped with a bayonet ? soldiers with pistols, submachine guns, light and heavy machine guns, etc. The first troops to receive the M3?s were the Airborne. Mountain Ranger and Glider infantry units. Among the nine manufacturers who produced the M3 during wartime was H. Boker & Co., with a total of 31.300 pieces, which was the smallest quantity. For the 65th anniversary. Boker Plus is reintroducing this classic piece of combat cutlery, along with the authentic U.S. M8A1 scabbard. The black coated blade is made of high carbon SK-5 steel and features the original H. Boker & Co. Blade tang. The handle is made of stacked leather pieces. To ensure the quality of the M3, each knife features a laser engraved serial number.

Warning and safety information:
Cut injuries: The most common danger when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can quickly penetrate skin and tissue.
Slipping of the knife: Improper or excessive pressure can cause the knife to slip, resulting in uncontrolled movements that can cause injuries.
Injuries due to falls: Knives should never be left unsecured or near table edges to prevent them from falling and injuring someone.
Blunt knives: Blunt knives pose a greater risk of injury as they require more force and can slip more easily. Knives should therefore be properly sharpened regularly.
Improper use: Using a knife for tasks for which it is not intended (e.g. as a lever tool) can not only damage the blade, but also lead to accidents.

Fantastic M3 knife a hand tool in re-enacting

I love this Boker made knife, it comes sharp and is easy to keep sharp. I use it lots to cut pure cotton ropes. The scabbard it comes with isn't great, I replaced it with an original, but the knife more than makes up for price charged. The cross guard rattles a bit, but its something I have learnt to live with as is just something my knife does. Highly recommend.

What a knife !

A beautiful piece. The knife guard floats a bit, but the overall look is impressive.
I have a BARWOOD 1943 leather scabbard whose entry clips left authentic marks on the brand new blade of the knife. A bit of aging ahead of time.

Für Militärmessersammler hoch interessant und sehr gut verarbeitet!

Ich habe in den letzten 30 Jahren eine Vielzahl von Militärmessern gesehen und besessen, die Böker Modelle stehen für mich ganz oben in Originaltreue und Verarbeitung. Designbedingt nicht unbedingt erste Wahl um damit in den Wald zu gehen, aber ich hätte größtes Vertrauen daß die auch "funktionieren". Interessant ist natürlich, das Boker USA auch diese Messer im 2.Wk für die US Streitkräfte gebaut hat, näher an der Geschichte kann man ja kaum sein.
