The Manix 2 combines full-featured cutting performance with the many benefits of Spyderco's Ball Bearing Lock mechanism. This innovative lock offers exceptional strength and smoothness and complements the symmetry of the Manix 2 so that every aspect of its design is fully ambidextrous. This workhorse of a folding knife is now also available with Spyderco's proprietary CPM SPY27 steel. SPY27 is an elevated, powder metallurgy form of VG-10 and gives this knife's fully flat ground blade an excellent balance of edge retention, toughness and corrosion resistance. All other features of this knife are the same as the standard versions of the Manix 2, with the exception of the removable G10 scales, which have the characteristic cobalt blue color of the SPY27 family. Warning and safety information:
Cut injuries: The most common danger when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can quickly penetrate skin and tissue.
Slipping of the knife: Improper or excessive pressure can cause the knife to slip, resulting in uncontrolled movements that can cause injuries.
Injuries due to falls: Knives should never be left unsecured or near table edges to prevent them from falling and injuring someone.
Blunt knives: Blunt knives pose a greater risk of injury as they require more force and can slip more easily. Knives should therefore be properly sharpened regularly.
Improper use: Using a knife for tasks for which it is not intended (e.g. as a lever tool) can not only damage the blade, but also lead to accidents.
