Karesuando is primarily known for its fixed hunting knives, which are handmade with high-quality materials according to traditional construction methods and function reliably even under arctic conditions. With the Pältsa, the Swedish manufacturer presents a classic-looking pocket knife that fully meets today's requirements thanks to modern elements. The two-handed knife has no opening aid for a tidy look and locks the cutting RWL34 blade with the back lock developed in collaboration with Fox Knives. Carbon fibre elements in the handle skeleton additionally reduce the weight. The handle is made of exquisite burl birch wood and fits comfortably in the hand. The knife comes with a fine leather pouch.

Warning and safety information:
Cut injuries: The most common danger when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can quickly penetrate skin and tissue.
Slipping of the knife: Improper or excessive pressure can cause the knife to slip, resulting in uncontrolled movements that can cause injuries.
Injuries due to falls: Knives should never be left unsecured or near table edges to prevent them from falling and injuring someone.
Blunt knives: Blunt knives pose a greater risk of injury as they require more force and can slip more easily. Knives should therefore be properly sharpened regularly.
Improper use: Using a knife for tasks for which it is not intended (e.g. as a lever tool) can not only damage the blade, but also lead to accidents.

Karesuando

Karesuando is a town in Lapland in the far north of Sweden. Located directly on the banks of the river Kaaresuvanto, which marks the border with Finland. In Karesuando, 250 km north of the Arctic Circle in the land of the elks, the reindeer, the midnight sun and the polar light, nordic knives are handmade according to old tradition. Karesuando has been a manufacturer since 1975 and since then has produced over one million blades. Only natural, traditional materials are used, such as oiled grains and reindeer horn as handle material, as well as selected cowhide for the sheaths.
