The Para Military 2 Lightweight CTS BD1N Black G10 PlainEdge is one of Spyderco’s most popular and recognizable folding knives, widely carried across the industry. This iconic design is now available in a lightweight format, reducing the overall weight by over 25 percent while enhancing grip security.
The lightweight handle scales are made of injection-molded fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN) and feature Spyderco’s signature Bi-Directional Texture pattern for a high-traction, non-slip grip. The streamlined Compression Lock is housed inside the handle, further reducing weight while securely locking the blade open during use.
The CTS BD1N stainless steel blade is full-flat-ground and available in the classic PlainEdge version. For discreet and convenient carry with instant access, the knife includes a reversible deep-pocket wire clip that supports left- or right-side tip-up carry.
Warning and safety information:
Cut injuries: The most common danger when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can quickly penetrate skin and tissue.
Slipping of the knife: Improper or excessive pressure can cause the knife to slip, resulting in uncontrolled movements that can cause injuries.
Injuries due to falls: Knives should never be left unsecured or near table edges to prevent them from falling and injuring someone.
Blunt knives: Blunt knives pose a greater risk of injury as they require more force and can slip more easily. Knives should therefore be properly sharpened regularly.
Improper use: Using a knife for tasks for which it is not intended (e.g. as a lever tool) can not only damage the blade, but also lead to accidents.

Spyderco
In 1981 Sal Glesser and his wife Gail revolutionized the knife industry. In the small town of Golden, not far from Colorado's capital Denver, they founded the now world-famous knife brand Spyderco. Today, Spyderco is still a true pioneer, constantly developing and testing new materials and mechanisms. Over the years, Spyderco has been able to make a name for itself worldwide as an innovative manufacturer of high-quality pocket knives and fixed knives and is now a supplier to numerous police and military forces around the world. For the precise production of the knives, modern high-quality materials are used. Low manufacturing tolerances and high demands on their own work thus inevitably lead to absolutely reliable and practical knives that will not be compromised even under tough conditions.
