The 112 cm long Survival Spear from United Cutlery has a 20 cm long, sharpened stainless steel blade / spear tip that is designed to be incredibly strong and durable. The blade of 2Cr13 steel is securely attached to the glass fibre reinforced handle with three screws. The Survival Spear is suitable for thrusting, levering and throwing as well as for breaking open crates or light doors. Supplied with blade protection in rubber.

Warning and safety information:
Cut injuries: The most common danger when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can quickly penetrate skin and tissue.
Slipping of the knife: Improper or excessive pressure can cause the knife to slip, resulting in uncontrolled movements that can cause injuries.
Injuries due to falls: Knives should never be left unsecured or near table edges to prevent them from falling and injuring someone.
Blunt knives: Blunt knives pose a greater risk of injury as they require more force and can slip more easily. Knives should therefore be properly sharpened regularly.

Ich habe meinen ersten Speer vor genau 10 Jahren gekauft.
Damals habe ich ihn belastet, so stark ich konnte.
Die Klinge wurde recht schnell stumpf und die Spitze brach ab.
Dann brach der Schaft, weil er mit Scherkräften nicht gut klarkommt.
Ich habe das Objekt nie als Sammlerstück betrachtet - und ich war nicht nett zu dem kleinen Speer.
Meinen zweites Stück , das ich bis heute habe, kaufte ich ein Jahr später.
Ich habe dieses Exemplar nicht weniger zart behandelt, habe aber die Schwächen berücksichtigt.
Die Schneide wurde wieder stumpf, aber ansonsten ist der Speer nach 9 Jahren intakt und nutzbar.
Dafür hat er eine gute Bewertung verdient.

Na ja geht so.

Die Handhabung ist stark Gewöhnungsbedürftig. Das Klingenmaterial wirkt nicht besonders robust und Widerstandsfähig. Alles in allem eher mäßig.

Interessantes Produkt

Der Speer liegt tastsächlich gut in der Hand und ist trotz des niedirgen Preises hochwertig verarbeitet. Lediglich die größe des Speeres habe ich mir größer vorgestellt. Wiederrum ist er für die gedachten Tätigkeiten wohl lang genug.
