Zompopo Knife

Designed by Joe Flowers, the Zompopo is inspired by the powerful mandibles of leafcutter ants. This unique knife seamlessly blends bushcraft and self-defense functionality, making it a versatile tool for a variety of tasks. Its Micarta handle, which is predestined for various grip techniques, offers adaptability for combat, while the 1095 carbon steel blade with Scandi grind ensures precise carving for outdoor use. The handle design pays homage to the Zompopo de Mayo, the leaf-cutter ants celebrated as a delicacy in Central America, and combines cultural significance with practical craftsmanship. A small pommel at the end of the handle adds versatility and makes the Zompopo an indispensable tool for exploring the wilderness and meeting the challenges of everyday life. Warning and safety information:
Cut injuries: The most common danger when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can quickly penetrate skin and tissue.
Slipping of the knife: Improper or excessive pressure can cause the knife to slip, resulting in uncontrolled movements that can cause injuries.
Injuries due to falls: Knives should never be left unsecured or near table edges to prevent them from falling and injuring someone.
Blunt knives: Blunt knives pose a greater risk of injury as they require more force and can slip more easily. Knives should therefore be properly sharpened regularly.
Improper use: Using a knife for tasks for which it is not intended (e.g. as a lever tool) can not only damage the blade, but also lead to accidents.
