The Blade Stabilizer is a two-in-one tool that is perfect for long, flexible blades such as filleting knives as well as blades with a strong distal taper, such as Spydercos. The stabilizing device can be positioned to align with flexible blades up to 30 cm in length. If the blade is longer, two Blade Stabilizers can be used on each side of the vice. The Blade Stabilizer can also be removed, leaving only the blade stopper, reducing the risk of the blade slipping down in the vice while ensuring consistent results. Simply place the blade stopper between the jaws of the vice, rest the back of the knife on the blade stopper and close the vice as usual. The blade stopper can be stored in your sharpener so that you can use it whenever you need it. The Blade Stabilizer can secure blades up to a thickness of 4.8 mm.

Warning and safety information:
Cut injuries: The most common danger when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can quickly penetrate skin and tissue.
Slipping of the knife: Improper or excessive pressure can cause the knife to slip, resulting in uncontrolled movements that can cause injuries.
Injuries due to falls: Knives should never be left unsecured or near table edges to prevent them from falling and injuring someone.
Blunt knives: Blunt knives pose a greater risk of injury as they require more force and can slip more easily. Knives should therefore be properly sharpened regularly.
Improper use: Using a knife for tasks for which it is not intended (e.g. as a lever tool) can not only damage the blade, but also lead to accidents.

Wicked Edge

Wicked Edge was founded in 2007 by Clay Allison with the explicit goal of developing the best knife sharpeners. The system allows precise and repeatable sharpening through a clamping device that holds the knife, as well as arms with sharpening elements that provide exact angle control. This design enables both sides of the blade to be sharpened simultaneously with diamond sharpening stones, delivering consistent results without guesswork. Over the years, Wicked Edge has released various models, including the Generation 4 Pro, which features improved DualCam Vise clamping systems and enhanced guide mechanisms. For added flexibility, there is also the portable Wicked Edge Venture, designed for efficient sharpening on the go. All Wicked Edge sharpening systems are designed, manufactured, and assembled in the USA - ensuring the highest precision and durability.
