The Rasierer-Zentrale in Lüneburg was founded 63 years ago. The family-run company is managed by Michael Kalb and his two sons Björn and Marco.
"Originally, we had both taken different educational paths, one as a carpenter and one as a car mechanic. But the passion for knives, which was born at an early age, quickly attracted us to the company. In addition to a large product range of small electrical appliances, steel goods, shaving, pocket, cooking and hunting knives, personal hygiene products and much more, we offer professional advice and repairs. We are grateful for our so loyal customer base, whom we can advise well with our expertise.
Our long experience is also reflected in the close and constructive cooperation with Boker. This way we were able to participate in the development of different knife series and to bring in our expert knowledge and our knowledge of the market. In connection with the joint development of our CDC knife, I always like to tell you that my parents personally brought the oak trunk from the historical Lüneburg bell house, which was intended for the handle scales, to Solingen, which is a further indication of the good business relationship.
With three men in the management there are certainly disagreements, but there is no mistake about one thing. Our common Boker favorite knife is the Boker Boxer Desert Ironwood. The classic knife shape, the timeless design and the versatility convinced us in no time at all. Traditional knives and the use of Böhler steels are a very special incentive for us. But it appeals not only to us, but also to our customers, because it is almost always sold out. We may not carry our favorite Boker knife with us every day, but a Boker knife is always at hand.
We are curious to see which knife we will be able to develop actively again and we are looking forward to a further good and trustful cooperation and hope to grow together with Boker".
