The family business Schlüsseldienst Fischer is located in the historic centre of Mittenwald, the highest climatic health resort in Germany and a popular holiday destination for hikers and winter sports enthusiasts. Sepp Fischer, who was born in Mittenwald, and his wife Traudl started in 1975 as a pure key service. In 1980 they expanded their range of products to include knives and gift products. After 38 successful business years, the couple retired and handed over the management to their daughter Stefanie and son-in-law Andreas.
"Prior to the takeover in 2018, I had already been helping out in my parents' business on a part-time basis for many years and therefore knew our services and products well. However, there were already points of contact with knives in childhood. As a child, I already owned my own pocket knife, and it should not be missing on hikes or on my bunch of keys. The preference for high quality knives was only really awakened after we moved to a larger shop in 2018 and were able to expand our range of knives.
The inclusion of quality knives from Boker strengthened the already long existing cooperation and we were gratefully able to rely on helpful recommendations and the many years of experience of the Boker staff, so that we can now present a beautiful and extensive assortment, which not only pleases us but also our customers. I am particularly enthusiastic about knives because of the craftsmanship behind them, the high quality workmanship and the product refinements developed. These values are also evident in my favourite knife, the Boker Scout Lightweight Olive. What fascinates me most about this delightful knife is its ability to bridge the gap between classic and modern. Also the material mix of olive wood and G10, which almost halves the weight of the knife, inspires me and our customers.
I am already looking forward to further product developments and novelties of the Boker Manufactory and I am looking forward to a further good and trustful cooperation".
