Zome (pronounced "zoh-may") is a classical Japanese method of dyeing textiles that is closely related to many aspects of that country’s culture and history. Inspired by this rich artistic heritage, Spyderco's Zome family of knives includes unique hand-dyed variations of popular lightweight models with injection-molded fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) handles. The handles of these knives are first molded in a light base color, and then individually hand dyed by expert Japanese artisans using a technique reminiscent of traditional hiki-zome (brush dyeing). In this painstaking method, various colors of dye are hand brushed onto the handle to create distinctive, one-of-a-kind patterns that permeate the FRN material.

The magnificence of a design is sometimes concealed under an inconspicuous exterior. The perfect ergonomics, the outstanding handiness and the versatility in everyday life in this very compact size make the Spyderco Dragonfly the first choice as a small EDC. The second finger recess and the ribbed thumb rest allow different grip types and maximum control when cutting. With convertible clip (l/r). The flat blade is made of VG-10, the handle of orange fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN).

Warning and safety information:
Cut injuries: The most common danger when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can quickly penetrate skin and tissue.
Slipping of the knife: Improper or excessive pressure can cause the knife to slip, resulting in uncontrolled movements that can cause injuries.
Injuries due to falls: Knives should never be left unsecured or near table edges to prevent them from falling and injuring someone.
Blunt knives: Blunt knives pose a greater risk of injury as they require more force and can slip more easily. Knives should therefore be properly sharpened regularly.
Improper use: Using a knife for tasks for which it is not intended (e.g. as a lever tool) can not only damage the blade, but also lead to accidents.
