The thoroughly stable Boker Plus Haddock Pro is a modern, contemporary two-handed knife designed by the Danish knifemaker Jens Anso. The five millimetre thick, extravagantly shaped blade made of D2 has a flat cut and a satin finish. A classic nail nick makes it easy to open, while the reliable linerlock locks the blade securely in place. The handle scales are made of elaborately milled G10 in three dimensions and always fit securely in the hand thanks to the fine texturing. The stable liners are provided with large milled areas to reduce weight. With lanyard hole, clip (tip-up/r) and high-quality nylon case for storage.

Warning and safety information:
Cut injuries: The most common danger when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can quickly penetrate skin and tissue.
Slipping of the knife: Improper or excessive pressure can cause the knife to slip, resulting in uncontrolled movements that can cause injuries.
Injuries due to falls: Knives should never be left unsecured or near table edges to prevent them from falling and injuring someone.
Blunt knives: Blunt knives pose a greater risk of injury as they require more force and can slip more easily. Knives should therefore be properly sharpened regularly.
Improper use: Using a knife for tasks for which it is not intended (e.g. as a lever tool) can not only damage the blade, but also lead to accidents.

Für mich das perfekte EDC

Ich hatte früher schon die "Urversion" des Haddock von Böker und habe mich irgendwann davon getrennt.
Als ich dieses Exemplar im Katalog entdeckt habe, habe ich es innerhalb von fünf Minuten bestellt.
Den Kauf habe ich nicht bereut. Mir gefällt es sogar besser als die deutlich teurere ursprüngliche Version von Böker: Dass die Griffschalen jetzt beidseitig aus G10 sind und das Klingenfinish finde ich optisch ansprechender.
Insgesamt erfüllt dieses Modell für mich alle Ansprüche, die ich an ein Messer habe, dass ich immer dabeihaben möchte.
Der Clip sitzt in der Tat etwas stramm, das lässt sich aber in den Griff bekommen.

Beeindruckende Klinge mit aggressivem Griff

Trotz der Kompaktheit des Messers ist die Klinge beeindruckend robust. Die Linerlockverrigelung ist bombenfest und rastet satt ein. Die Griffschalen aus G10 sind sehr aggressiv in der Handfläche, auch der Fingerschutz ist unangenehm scharfkantig. Ich werde sie mit Schleifpapier abrunden. Der Hosenclip ist zu stramm, man hat Mühe das Messer ranzufummeln und wieder zu lösen. Fazit: ein sehr robustes, aber trotzdem sehr kompaktes EDC-Messer. Es lohnt sich den Griff durch Nachbearbeitung an die Hand anzupassen.
