One of the most exciting designs of recent years reaches its next peak. The Kwaiken, designed by Lucas Burnley, has been one of the most successful projects of the custom knifemaker and Boker Plus since its launch. The Boker Plus Kwaiken OTF Blue combines the slim, minimalistic design with a perfect automatic mechanism. When the serrated trigger on the top of the handle is pushed forward, the satin-finished blade made of D2 jumps out of the CNC-milled aluminium handle frontally at breathtaking speed and disappears again in the same way when the trigger is pulled. The Kwaiken OTF reaches a completely new level within the series and offers itself as a unique, versatile utility knife. The clip (tip-up/r) forms a successful contrast to the blue handle. With lanyard hole and high-quality nylon case for storage.

Warning and safety information:
Cut injuries: The most common danger when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can quickly penetrate skin and tissue.
Slipping of the knife: Improper or excessive pressure can cause the knife to slip, resulting in uncontrolled movements that can cause injuries.
Injuries due to falls: Knives should never be left unsecured or near table edges to prevent them from falling and injuring someone.
Blunt knives: Blunt knives pose a greater risk of injury as they require more force and can slip more easily. Knives should therefore be properly sharpened regularly.
Improper use: Using a knife for tasks for which it is not intended (e.g. as a lever tool) can not only damage the blade, but also lead to accidents.

Nice…

Very nice, clean, compact design, opening/closing action is very satisfying, blue color is stunning - arrived with black accents (clip and screws) and I think it looks better than version on photos with silver ones. Little play on blade when opened, suppose its normal for OTFs, can't compare to others. Quality is good, little imperfection of coloring on joints (thiiiiin silver edges). For the money it's amazing little knife.

Lucas Burnley from Oregon has been a full-time custom knifemaker and designer since 2003.
