Since 31st October 2024, there has been a general ban on the handling and possession of switchblade knives of all kinds in Germany. They are now prohibited objects and the possession thereof is a criminal offence. The possession of certain switchblade knives is prohibited in accordance with Annex 2 to the German Weapons law, Section 1, Number 1.4.1, and only permitted to persons who have a legitimate interest necessitating one-handed use (such as due to the loss of an arm or a missing or dysfunctional hand), or use them in connection with professional activities (e.g. hunting, crafts) or sports (e.g. sailing or mountaineering). The all-black Short Bladed Rockeye, or SBR for short, is the compact left-handed version of the popular Rockeye Auto. Both versions were designed by Marine Corps knife designer Les George, whose ergonomic knives for heavy-duty use were faithfully adapted by Pro-Tech to meet the demands of automatic knives. The SBR features a compact design with a powder metallurgy CPM-S-35VN blade suitable for a variety of cutting tasks. The Black DLC finish of the blade accentuates the switchblade in a special way. The tidy, CNC-milled aluminum handle is ergonomic, robust and extremely comfortable to hold. The automatic knife opens at the push of a button and unlocks the blade at the same time. The deep-carry clip (tip-up/r) emphasizes the tactical character. Made in the USA.

Warning and safety information:
Cut injuries: The most common danger when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can quickly penetrate skin and tissue.
Slipping of the knife: Improper or excessive pressure can cause the knife to slip, resulting in uncontrolled movements that can cause injuries.
Injuries due to falls: Knives should never be left unsecured or near table edges to prevent them from falling and injuring someone.
Blunt knives: Blunt knives pose a greater risk of injury as they require more force and can slip more easily. Knives should therefore be properly sharpened regularly.
Improper use: Using a knife for tasks for which it is not intended (e.g. as a lever tool) can not only damage the blade, but also lead to accidents.
