With this series, CRKT pays tribute to the custom knifemaker Harold "Kit" Carson, who passed away in autumn 2014 and who set a real milestone with the M16 series; it is one of the most popular and successful in CRKT's range and has shaped the brand like no other. The matt finished blade made of 12C27 Sandvik opens either by flipper or thumb stud and is ideal for demanding work. The bronze adorned stainless steel handle extends the slim lines of the Framelock folder and has the typical cut-outs to save weight. With a convertible clip (tip-up/l+r).

Warning and safety information:
Cut injuries: The most common danger when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can quickly penetrate skin and tissue.
Slipping of the knife: Improper or excessive pressure can cause the knife to slip, resulting in uncontrolled movements that can cause injuries.
Injuries due to falls: Knives should never be left unsecured or near table edges to prevent them from falling and injuring someone.
Blunt knives: Blunt knives pose a greater risk of injury as they require more force and can slip more easily. Knives should therefore be properly sharpened regularly.
Improper use: Using a knife for tasks for which it is not intended (e.g. as a lever tool) can not only damage the blade, but also lead to accidents.

empfehlenswert

Hält was es verspricht, liegt sehr angenehm in der Hand, Klingenform ist alltagstauglich und der Stahl ist auch supi. Robuste Konstruktion, wenn's mal etwas gröber wird. Schlicht aber nicht schlecht gebaut, und ist daher auch sehr wartungsfreundlich. Bin sehr zufrieden. Wenn man damit nur herumspielen will können einem aber nach einiger Zeit schon mal die Finger anfangen zu schmerzen, weil der Framelock so schön stabil ist, das ist aber gar kein Problem wenn man es nur mal (einhändig) auf und zu macht wenn man es wirklich für etwas braucht.

(Der Daumenpin/Klingenstopper ist bei meinem Messer eventuell falsch herum angebracht, weil er auf der Vorderseite fast ganz flach ist und leider nur auf der Rückseite ein winziges Bisschen hervorsteht, aber ich öffne es sowieso immer mit dem Flipper. Der Klingenstopper der auch als Daumenpin fungieren kann wird bei mir höchstens mal bedient wenn ich es langsam via Flipper öffne ohne es in der Bewegung zu flippen, und es dann den Rest mit dem Daumen öffne. Das stört mich aber wie gesagt überhaupt nicht; da es sich höchstens um einen halben Millimeter Versatz nach hinten handelt, höchstens:)
