Since 31st October 2024, there has been a general ban on the handling and possession of switchblade knives of all kinds in Germany. They are now prohibited objects and the possession thereof is a criminal offence. The possession of certain switchblade knives is prohibited in accordance with Annex 2 to the German Weapons law, Section 1, Number 1.4.1, and only permitted to persons who have a legitimate interest necessitating one-handed use (such as due to the loss of an arm or a missing or dysfunctional hand), or use them in connection with professional activities (e.g. hunting, crafts) or sports (e.g. sailing or mountaineering). The same applies to commercial dealers or manufacturers of such knives. Consequently,the sale is limited only to authorized individuals. Please verify before placing an order whether you possess such a legitimate interest.

After what are now 20 years of Boker Speedlock, we can look back on a singularly successful history that represents a milestone in the Boker story. Ranging from standard pocketknife users to public agency users and knife collectors searching for that something special, both sizes of the easy to operate Speedlock have gained a broad following with millions of copies sold over decades. The 20th anniversary of the Boker Speedlock is an occasion for a thorough update. Without changing the proven and consistently popular design, we redesigned all aspects of the technical inner elements on the aluminum grip and mechanism, and as result once again dramatically improved the performance and reliability of the Speedlock. In addition, the Speedlock 2.0 uses the exceedingly edge-holding N690 as the blade steel, which significantly surpasses the previously used 4034. Both the grip and blade on this version have a satin finish, and the inserts of the proven aluminum grip body are made from premium certified imported cocobolo. Speedlock 2.0 ? ready for the next 20 years!

Warning and safety information:
Cut injuries: The most common danger when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can quickly penetrate skin and tissue.
Slipping of the knife: Improper or excessive pressure can cause the knife to slip, resulting in uncontrolled movements that can cause injuries.
Injuries due to falls: Knives should never be left unsecured or near table edges to prevent them from falling and injuring someone.
Blunt knives: Blunt knives pose a greater risk of injury as they require more force and can slip more easily. Knives should therefore be properly sharpened regularly.
Improper use: Using a knife for tasks for which it is not intended (e.g. as a lever tool) can not only damage the blade, but also lead to accidents.
