Warranty conditions 

The Heinr. Böker Baumwerk GmbH grants you as an owner of a boker-knife (Boker, Boker Plus, Boker Arbolito, Magnum) a lifetime warranty on material and workmanship. The warranty includes spare parts and employment costs. Signs of usage, re-sharpening and damages, which came from the lack of care, dismantling or rather disassemble from the knife or improper use aren`t covered by the warranty. A knife is a cutting tool and not a screwdriver, lever tool, chisel or a crowbar. If any problems should occur with your knife, please contact us. We will be glad to help you. All other products are liable to the implied warranty of 24 months. Of course we provide a sharpening and repair service outside the warranty terms. Should your knife be damaged by external influence or it needs a restauration, please feel free to contact us. As part of our repair service, all knives are reground as standard. If you do not wish to have your knives resharpened, please make a note of this when you send them in.

Condition of the knife

Before you send us your knife and it is irrelevant whether it is a guarantee-repairing, a cost estimate for a repairing outside of the guarantee or your knife should re-sharpening: Please clean your knives, especially which are used for hunting, so that there isn’t any dried up liquid, coat or anyway on the blade or the knife handle! Please remove food scaps, too. Otherwise, a 25 € fee will be charged.

Please specify on your cover letters your daytime phone number and a problem description in case of further queries as this will considerably shorten handling time.

Shipping

Not prepaid parcels will not be accepted. In case of complaints, please note your shipping cost on your letter for later refunding.

Resharpening service

The regrinding and sharpening of knives and razors from our own production (Boker Manufactory Solingen) as well as knives from the Boker Manufactory brand (e.g. Boker ceramic knives and Boker Forge) is free of charge. You only pay the shipping costs for return shipment to you.
Knives from other brands and manufacturers (Boker Arbolito, Boker Plus, Boker Magnum and other brands) can also be sent in for sharpening. Depending on the type of knife, sharpening knives with a steel blade costs between EUR 10 and EUR 20 incl. VAT plus return shipping to you.
The prices for grinding work on ceramic knives from other manufacturers range from EUR 24 to EUR 35 incl. VAT, depending on the amount of work involved.
Sharpening an improperly sharpened straight razor is charged at EUR 16.
If a razor is sent to us that has not been cleaned, we will charge a cleaning fee of EUR 25 (incl. VAT). Please note that knives with a Scandi grind receive a secondary bevel when resharpened in our company.

Boker Warranty registration

The Heinr. Böker Baumwerk GmbH granted to you as an owner of a Boker, Boker Plus or a Magnum knife a lifetime guarantee on material and workmanship. That’s the reason why we recommend you to register with us as owner of an original Boker knife.

Flashlights Warranty

Before submitting your Flashlights as a complaint, please make sure that the apparent defect is not due to an empty battery or loose components (such as lamphead or battery cap). If the error still exists, we will forward your complaints gladly for you to the appropriate manufacturers. In order to be able to claim the warranty service, it is essential that the receipt is enclosed in the case of a consignment (when submitted by the retailer: please enclose the customer's receipt!) We ask for your understanding that a repair or a replacement without receipt is not possible!

Repair Order / Complaint

Use this form to inform us in advance about your entry. Through this you make the assignment of sent in articles easier and so you contribute to a faster reparation edition or rather a complaints processing.

Please contact your dealer directly if you bought your complaining items at their stores. They are, as the purchase contractual partner in the responsibility of the complaints processing. We ask for your understanding!

We try to process your enquiries as quickly as possible, as a rule you will receive feedback within one to two working days (Monday to Friday). Your request will be processed during our business hours (Monday to Thursday from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm and Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm).

The processing time of repairs is usually three weeks from the receipt of your package. In the period of special sales promotions or vacation periods, the processing time may differ.
