Designed by Michael Janich, a renowned self-defense expert, the Yojimbo 2 has made the concept of the “tactical Wharncliffe” respectable. Featuring CPM SPY27 elite steel, only available on select Spyderco knives, the blade has an advanced alloy formula that includes vanadium, molybdenum, niobium and nitrogen. These alloys are enhanced by the strengthening effects of the steel's signature element, cobalt, and the state-of-the-art crucible particle metallurgy process to create a blade steel that offers an impressive synergy of edge retention, toughness and corrosion resistance. These properties support the sharp geometry of the Yojimbo 2's hollow-ground Wharncliffe blade, which is housed in a handle with skeletonized stainless steel liners embedded in demountable, textured G10 scales. The liners form the backbone of the knife's high-strength compression lock mechanism and anchor the four-way reversible pocket clip, Like most other members of Spyderco's elite CPM SPY27 knife family, the handle scales of this Yojimbo 2 are finished in the signature cobalt blue color

Warning and safety information:
Cut injuries: The most common danger when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can quickly penetrate skin and tissue.
Slipping of the knife: Improper or excessive pressure can cause the knife to slip, resulting in uncontrolled movements that can cause injuries.
Injuries due to falls: Knives should never be left unsecured or near table edges to prevent them from falling and injuring someone.
Blunt knives: Blunt knives pose a greater risk of injury as they require more force and can slip more easily. Knives should therefore be properly sharpened regularly.
Improper use: Using a knife for tasks for which it is not intended (e.g. as a lever tool) can not only damage the blade, but also lead to accidents.

Spyderco

In 1981 Sal Glesser and his wife Gail revolutionized the knife industry. In the small town of Golden, not far from Colorado's capital Denver, they founded the now world-famous knife brand Spyderco. Today, Spyderco is still a true pioneer, constantly developing and testing new materials and mechanisms. Over the years, Spyderco has been able to make a name for itself worldwide as an innovative manufacturer of high-quality pocket knives and fixed knives and is now a supplier to numerous police and military forces around the world. For the precise production of the knives, modern high-quality materials are used. Low manufacturing tolerances and high demands on their own work thus inevitably lead to absolutely reliable and practical knives that will not be compromised even under tough conditions.
