The family business Tabak Söldner, located in the tranquil Freyung, can already look back on a company history of over 60 years. Founded in 1959 as a wholesaler and retailer of tobacco products, the specialist shop is now run in the third generation by the nature-loving owner Andreas Söldner. The passion for cutlery has always existed in the home of Söldner, so that in the course of time the assortment has been extended by knives of different manufacturers like Boker. Andreas Söldner always recognized the signs of the times and confidently combines the strengths of his specialist shop with a successful online strategy. Meanwhile, the product range includes more than 4000 articles from the knife, outdoor and survival sectors. The owner raves: "I have been enthusiastic about knives since I was a little boy. The selection in our shop has always had a special appeal for me and I started early on to build up a small collection. Since then I have been a big fan and also a user of knives of all kinds, whether in the kitchen, when hiking or in the forest".
During a factory tour at Boker he got an impressive insight into the development and production of the knives with the world-famous tree-brand, so that his appreciation for this craftsmanship has once again increased significantly. In his opinion the synergy of elegant design, high value and the choice of exquisite materials is perfectly embodied by the Boker Plus Caracal Folder 42: "In my opinion the knife fulfils the requirements for the perfect EDC in every respect. The design of an internationally renowned knifemaker, the very high quality materials, an affordable price, a slightly tactical design and last but not least the fact that you can carry the knife legally almost everywhere without any concerns. The included safety pin is for me the perfect addition if the purpose of use gets a bit harder. Therefore I recommend this model to our customers who are looking for a §42a compliant companion - which is almost always very well received.
