The highly polished blade made of 12C27 steel offers razor-sharp precision and glides effortlessly through a wide variety of foods. At the same time, it is robust enough to handle even the most demanding cutting tasks with ease.Helle drew inspiration for the blade's shape from classic European chef's knives and the Japanese santoku – a successful combination of tradition and modern functionality. The full flat grind makes the Dele a versatile and powerful kitchen tool.
The ergonomically shaped handle, made of curly birch, is based on the rounded handle designs of Helle outdoor knives. The natural grain of the wood makes each knife unique, while the antibacterial properties of birch are a practical advantage in everyday kitchen use.
A flat bolster between the handle and blade ensures optimum control when cutting, for example when finely chopping onions or vegetables.
The standard version of the Dele comes with a custom-fit leather blade cover – ideal for safe transport, whether in a kitchen drawer, in a rucksack when hiking or on culinary journeys.

Warning and safety information:
Cut injuries: The most common danger when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can quickly penetrate skin and tissue.
Slipping of the knife: Improper or excessive pressure can cause the knife to slip, resulting in uncontrolled movements that can cause injuries.
Injuries due to falls: Knives should never be left unsecured or near table edges to prevent them from falling and injuring someone.
Blunt knives: Blunt knives pose a greater risk of injury as they require more force and can slip more easily. Knives should therefore be properly sharpened regularly.
Improper use: Using a knife for tasks for which it is not intended (e.g. as a lever tool) can not only damage the blade, but also lead to accidents.
