The cornerstones for the manufactory were laid in 1915, when Anna David established her business in Thiers. Until today Robert David is manufacturing in the French capital of knife makers. Experiences and knowledge from over four generations have their influence on the handwork production. Besides classical Laguiole knives, the manufactory is producing delicate pocket knives, of course still in craftsmanship.
